  Kellan works as an independent teacher of advanced English Literature and Latin. She provides year-long classes to small groups of homeschool students, and each course is designed to meet and exceed the requirements of typical high-school curricula, preparing students for rigorous college-level work. In the past, Kellan has also worked as a public high-school and middle-school English teacher in Virginia, a summer and after-school daycare teacher, office temp, lab assistant, and web designer. Now she occasionally takes on projects as a freelance portrait photographer. She is active in her church, participating in leading worship and writing and directing dramatic productions.
